Who we are

SELECT Design & Build was founded on a simple belief: building a custom home should be a collaborative, enjoyable experience rooted in trust, craftsmanship, and lasting relationships. What began as a dedicated team passionate about creating exceptional homes has grown into one of Central Oregon's premier custom home builders, earning a reputation for quality construction, thoughtful design, and an unwavering commitment to our clients.

Headquartered in Central Oregon, we've spent years refining a streamlined design-build process that brings every step under one roof. From the initial conversation through design, engineering, permitting, construction, and final completion, our experienced team works alongside each client to create a home that reflects their vision, lifestyle, and goals. With decades of combined experience in luxury residential construction, we understand that every detail matters.

Though we're a close-knit team, our capabilities are anything but small. We proudly build throughout Central Oregon's most sought-after communities, including Brasada Ranch, Caldera Springs, Black Butte Ranch, Tetherow, and many other premier destinations. From mountain retreats and vacation homes to forever homes and legacy properties, every project receives the same dedication to quality, communication, and craftsmanship.

Our success has never been measured simply by the homes we build—it's measured by the relationships we create along the way. We believe our clients deserve honesty, transparency, and a team that is genuinely invested in their experience from day one through long after move-in.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If I could sum up building with Select Design & Build in one word, it would be “trust.” From start to finish, the team made us feel confident that our home was in good hands. They turned what could have been an overwhelming process into an exciting and enjoyable journey. We always felt heard, supported, and cared for—like our project truly mattered.

Thank you for helping us create a home that reflects who we are. It’s more than just a house to us—it’s where our favorite moments will happen for years to come.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great process because of the team that helped me through the difficult process of my build. From initial design through the difficult processing of approvals from the County Select Homes stood behind my build.
The Select Team did what other builders would not or could not do because I was an out of state owner/builder and they handled the whole process.
Thank you Team Select!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolute WOW experience! The only custom home builder I would recommend in Central Oregon! Their quality and design is similar to the luxury home builder Toll Brothers. Whatever your vision, the team will absolutely accomplish the goal for your family. Ray was our Superintendent for our project. He did not disappoint! His communication is clear, punctual and effective. Day or night, he was always available for questions and brainstorming.
We opted to have our home furnished by Pahlisch Select also. Holy smokes! Designer Kelli Weisenfluh is Special Operations Design Specialist! Her kindness and genuine passion for her trade is second to none. Pahlisch is incredibly blessed to have Kelli and Ray. They started as business partners and at the end of project, we are now good friends. Thank you Pahlisch Select for developing a team that supports your culture and passion for the business! You are truly the BEST of Central Oregon!

We have been in our house for three years and still call him periodically with a question and he immediately gets back to us and helps us with whatever we need. Pahlisch is so lucky to have him!!

They demonstrate a consistent commitment to working closely with industry professionals to balance quality, value, and integrity — all while keeping shared goals in sight. Their approach reflects a genuine respect for long-term relationships and strategic alignment.

What also stands out is the culture they’re cultivating — one grounded in professionalism, creativity, and a clear passion for delivering accessible luxury. As they continue to evolve under their new brand identity, it’s evident they’re positioned to make a meaningful impact with both their partners and their clients.

Building a home will always throws you curve balls, but Select did a great job of handling those, working together and keeping us in the loop. .We are very happy to be in our home and would be thrilled to work with Select again in the future.
